This book blew my mind, I will be honest and say I was looking for something a bit different then what im use to reading, something that's not too sweet but has a second chance for love. I got much more than I bargained for in this book. This book is not for the faint-hearted. This book goes into graphic violent sexual and physical and mental abuse. I've read a lot of books and this one here just blew my mind. I could not only see the scene in front of me while I read, but I swear I could hear them I could feel what each character was feeling each painful word being thrown.
But this book is much more like I was saying when our main character Bailey runs from her husband, she runs into a town filled with amazing people, who love with their wholes hearts and they don't try to hide it. Bailey runs right into Jaxson, and at that point, the story of love and suspense just gets better. The whole book your routing for Bailey and Jaxson, to overcome her fears, and let him into her heart. This story breaks my heart, puts it back together, to only crack in the end but Im able to put a band-aid on it keep it from breaking any more. It was refreshing to read, at time hard to keep going, but so worth it in end! This book is for 18 and over and if you have suffered from any kind of abuse I would tread cautiously.

I've read by this author in the past and the way she weaved a story I quickly became addicted to her writing. I was excited to read this series when I read the description.

Bailey broke my heart! Right from the start we get her story, so we're are not left wondering and all I can say is have tissue handy because this is. It an easy book to read.

Oh that sweet brute of a man Jackson! He was everything a girl could hope for! I don't want to spoil him but he was amazing! Strong, sweet, sexy, hard, soft..... I could like a million things and never do him justice. I really wish we had been able to be inside his head m!

The plot is about a woman overcoming her past, and I can say it wasn't an easy journey. There is very touch subject matter in this book, and the author wrote it very raw, but I get she did an amazing job with Baileys character, and how the hero helped he become me stronger.

Loved!!!!! All the secondary characters! I won't go into detail because there are more books to read, but I loved them and can't wait to see more of them and see more in depth about them.

My main issue with this book was the overuse of descriptive internal dialogue. It's not that it wasn't well written, because it was, but for ME, I like less internal more character interaction. That being said I still liked it and the author did paint a great picture with how she described things.

Overall, the story was heartbreaking yet so amazing. I look forward to seeing what's going to happen with the other characters that we have come to love! 4 stars #2OCCJD
While this might not be for everyone, I really enjoyed the change of pace from the rainbows and butterflies type of romance. It was definitely dark and very emotional, with some pretty disturbing and graphic rape and abuse scenes. However, even with its heartbreaking moments, it was a very well written and heartwarming story of hope and survival.

I really liked the characters that I was supposed to like, and I really hated the ones that I wasn't. I loved that Bailey found the courage and strength to break free, and I was glad that she had some support in doing so. Jaxon was such a protective and passionate man! Although he was instantly drawn to Bailey, I really liked that he was also very tender and patient with her.

I really loved Jaxon's family as well, along with the small town feeling of warmth in the story. The only problem that I really had was that I didn't understand the reasoning behind what happened with Jaxson's sister. It seemed a little over the top or unnecessary to me in the overall scheme of the story.

This is my first read by Alex Grayson, and although each of the books in this Jaded Series are standalones, I look forward to reading them and her other works as well!
Pain. That’s a word Bailey Winsor knows well, having endured it since she was a child from the people that were supposed to protect her. Just when her life appears normal, something Bailey has never experienced, she meets a man and falls in love.

Bailey is a broken woman who had a horrible childhood. When she was finally free she met and fell in love with a man who made her childhood pale in comparison to the horrific things he subjected her to. Bailey escapes that situation and is now on the run from her husband. She ends up in the small town in Ohio. There she meets Jaxson, Mia, Anna, and Andrew. She forms and instant bond with them dispute trying not to. She knows this stop is only temporary because she needs to stay on the moves to stay away from her husband.

Jaxson seems something in Bailey the moment he sees her sitting in his bar. The first time she freaks out when he gets close, Jaxon know she is hiding something. For some reason he wants to protect her and for Bailey to trust him. The chemistry between these two is undeniable. Bailey does not trust her feelings for Jaxon considering her past experiences. Jaxson has dealt with his share of pain. Something in Bailey calls to him but he proceeds cautiously trying not to scare her away.

This book took me on such an emotional roller coaster. I was invested even every word written and did not want it to end. Shatter Me was written in a way that draws you in instantly and keeps you hanging on until the end. I laughed and cried during this book. This book has some dark moments that really broke my heart. The author managed to capture so many emotions and pour them into the book, which made me want to finish the book, even though I did not want it to end. Not everyone in this books gets a happy ending and while it was painful the author still made me hope.
I cannot wait to read the rest of this series and discover other books written by this author.
