I thought this addition to the series not as good as previous ones. The writing/plot was a bit lazy and world building very sloppy. And as usual for this author, no one gave this book a final perusal to identify misspellings, missing words, or punctuation errors. An average effort at best.Product details

Enjoyable story
I so enjoyed reading this series.
I've read all the books in this series, they're a lot of fun. The books aren't necessarily chronological, but definitely read Midnight before this installment.
Great read. This seventh in the series answered most questions that remained from the former books.
As usual character development was superb. Avalon was a bit too self sacrificing, but as usual in her books at least one MC is.
I've loved most of what Megan Derr has written so I wasn't surprised with this one. It was fun to revisit Midnight, Devlin, Barra, & Neirin. Derr writes engaging characters and always has an interesting plot, and this was no exception. There were a few proofing errors, the only drawbacks to a fine story.
I just love this series...Midnight was my favorite out of thunderous .. So to see these characters again in a book all about them was awesome... I hope she puts these book on audible.. Books 4-7...if you haven't read this series ur missing a real treat!!!
Megan Derr is an instant buy for me. Her stories are always interesting, her characters have real problems and she treats the most fantastic premises with an almost nonchalant attitude that makes it easy to accept that this is the way things are.
This book in particular can be read as a stand alone but is best read as part of the series. The story picks up with a band of heroic rogues introduced in previous books and shakes things up in a major way, yet manages to bring them all to a HEA none of them expected (even if we did). An overall enjoyable read and a satisfying conclusion to this portion of the series if the author chooses to leave them there, but with plenty of room for things to go wrong if the author wants to visit them again.
